Google is God—well thats what a googlevangelist would say.
The mightiest creation out of stanford dorm is the lifeline for millions around the globe.
I was arguing with myself before starting this article->
Every one knows google is great,so what am i doing,why should i write this….
well I didnot find any reason to write this post but what the heck i am gonna write this .

In the eight years of its existence google has taken the search engine market by storm.I
wondered what is that in google that has made it so popular.Is it its spirit of ‘dont be
evil’? or is it its extremely efficient alogrithm? or is it is no nonsense homepage?
Well a lot has been the reason for the success of google in the search engine space but i
put forth the reasons which i assume are some of the ones that has made google- Google with a capitol G.

Google’s home page is its USP.Its presumable that a search engine needs to have only a text box and a button but even after all those other services they have started they still
maintain that simple look it always had.Had google was like yahoo it would have looked like this:

Google has got a interesting algorithm to rank the pages-it cares more about who connects to you with what link than what the actual content of the page is.Essentially it means for getting ranked higher in google the website needs to be linked by other popular websites with the particular keyword.People have started misusing this strategy to create what is called as a google bomb.

The famous example of googlebomb is typing failure or miserable failure in google search bar and clicking i am feeling lucky button to get the president Bush’s biography from the white house site.There are hell a lot of google bombs these days.

The humor thats associated with google is always its strong point.The changing holiday logos,the fun with ego googling,googledromes,googlewhacks,the list continues.You could see this book- 55 ways to have fun with google which gives an excellent insight into most of these and a nice collection of ways to have fun with google.
